CATS IN NSW BEING TORTURED ! HELP!!! #fundraiser

Hi,

 COLONY CATS

Marcel is a friend and is working with an elderly woman to help her ensure 60 cats in her area are captured, desexed and returned – as you would know this is the most humane and effective way of keeping numbers of cats down.  A sympathetic vet is going to also worm and worm, deflea and correct ear problems.

The woman lives in a violent anti-cat area and some residents have been doing unspeakable things to these beautiful animals.

My friend Marcel is, while at the same time as doing hands on work with the cats with help, will be endeavouring to educate people in the general vicinity of the cat colony.

If you can donate even $10 or $20 every dollar will be gratefully received and if you can, in turn, please send out this appeal.

See safe link below for additional information and how to donate.

Best wishes,

MATTY

PIGDOGGING PRESS RELEASE APRIL

     *** PRESS RELEASE ***

For anyone familiar with the term “pigging”  or “pigdogging” they will have visions of extremes…extreme blood, cruelty and terror.
Bull arabs are the main breed of dog used by those who hunt pigs. The dogs are meant to wear vests to protect their hearts from tusks injuries but a lot of dogs dont wear these vests and suffer horrendous traumas. Most injuries regardless of the vests occur on the dogs faces and ears.
Also the pigs  go through untold pain and torture being torn apart by the dogs, also the “hunters” blood the dogs (train them to tear up animals) using cats, dogs, rabbits and other unfortunate animals, also they “seed” areas i.e. leave pregnant sows and babies to thrive so they can continue this vile bloodsport
We have been contacted by a number of shelters who now have these dogs in their care and we have just rescued one from Toowoomba. Renamed, Lotus Tigerlilly has suffered horrendous physical and emotional scars at only 1 1/2 yrs of age. Her left ear was ripped in half lengthways, she has deep wounds all over her body and she is extremely scared of men and shakes in their presence. She was also, like a lot of these dogs, kept in a small cage and used for breeding so more pig hunting dogs could be available.
Her forever home is one of extremes…extreme kindness, love, affection and fun. It is taking time but as you will see from our fb films, her bright blue eyes are slowly getting their sparkle back. She is as gentle as a baby with people and animals, and even lets the rooster and chickens up on her bed with  her!

AJP newsletter excerpt QLD

Hopping Around Australia
Information about AJP activities from the states and territories that wish to contribute to this newsletter

Queensland by Sylvia Cooper
The AJP received 1.07% of the senate vote in Queensland at last year’s federal election, coming 8th out of 36 parties on its first,
very short and barely funded election campaign. A very encouraging start that suggests running in Queensland state and local
elections may prove worthwhile and would certainly keep the AJP in the spotlight.
However, to register for Queensland elections the party would need 400 extra Queensland voters to become members. Solution –
if each current Queensland member was to sign up four new members this year, the AJP would actually be able to run in the
Queensland state election scheduled for early next year! Given the current Newman government’s appalling disinterest in animal
wellbeing and its unpopularity, there is no better time to promote the AJP to fellow Queenslanders whenever an opportunity
arises. This is an achievable goal for each and every Queensland AJP member to work towards, and in doing so move us closer to
giving animals a voice at all levels of Australian government.

Animal Justice Candidates open letter

Dear Member/ Supporter

We, Mark and Kate, are writing to you now for three very important reasons.

Firstly we want to say we are very indebted to you for your support and positive encouragement during the entire election campaign. Many of you have dedicated a great deal of your time and energy to the campaign: working on stalls, leafleting and talking to people at markets, letter box leafleting and the long slog at the polling booths. We are thrilled by this level of good will and loyalty even when the hurdles of confusing and often deceptive communications were disseminated by rival parties.

As of the time of writing this letter, when 85% of the votes have been counted, the count for the Senate has the Animal Justice Party at almost 18,850 for NSW. Our position is currently 14th Party out of 44.

The national count is almost 78,500. This is outstanding according to peak political experts who have personally contacted us to say so.

While we wait for the final outcome of the Federal election, the Animal Justice Party is so enthused and keen to stride forward we have started to prepare for the NSW State election in March 2015, only eighteen months away. However, we need 750 registered NSW members no later than END OCTOBER.

So we are asking for your help:

1. If you are already a financial member of the AJP, please just fill out the NSW member declaration form (herehttp://www.elections.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0007/81277/DECLARATION_OF_PARTY_MEMBERSHIP_1_Feb_2012.pdf) and post to:

PO Box 1010
Strawberry Hills NSW 2012

2. If you are not a current member please complete and post the above form AND an AJP members form (herehttp://www.animaljusticeparty.org/join-us/) accompanied by a mere $20.00 membership fee (cheque, cash or money order).

Lastly, IF YOU JOIN UP 5 MEMBERS you will receive a free ticket to travel return to AJP’s event at the Donkey Sanctuary near Maitland on Sunday 17 November!

The day will consist of a 3-course vegan lunch with wine and of course the opportunity to meet some wonderful reduced animals and hear their stories from the sanctuary’s founder Christine Berry. For more details please email Mark at alncle@ozemail.com.au.

If you could please sign up as many people as you possibly can – that would be wonderful.

Once again, we are deeply grateful for standing by us as we navigate a very new territory for a voice for animals. Your efforts have allowed tens of thousands of people across New South Wales and Australia itself an opportunity to pitch that voice toward the Parliament of Australia.

All the very best.
